Donating of Money
Like all small nonprofit organizations nowadays, we work hard to make ends meet. Our membership dues are the backbone of our finances, but they are not enough alone. We welcome your donations to the Franklin County Historical Society.
Every bit will help, even an amount as small as $5.00. You can donate amounts over $5.00 by choosing another level from the menu. We would be happy to designate your contributions in memory or honor of a loved one or as an endowment. (Memorials and honorariums are deposited into our general operating funds, while endowment contributions remain in perpetuity. Call for details.)
All gifts are acknowledged in our publications unless otherwise requested. If you would like the family or honoree to be notified of your gift, please provide us with their contact information.
Please Note: Your donation is tax-deductible. You will receive a 501(c)3 letter of thanks from us for your tax records and a note of thanks from the historical society.

Donating Artifacts to the Museum
Please contact us if you are interested in donating items to our collection. We appreciate your interest in Franklin County Museum, and we welcome and solicit those items that reflect our unique history. Unfortunately, due to severe space limitations, we can only accept items unique to this county and CANNOT accept items that are currently in wide circulation or in disrepair. Thank you again for your interest and understanding.
Remember, another wonderful way to help support our museum is to buy a membership – for yourself or as a gift!
